The Victoire Democracy:
The Victoire Democracy is considered the first and least understood modern democracy. Established by Francois Mission, Thomas Tew and Pare Caraccioli somewhere in the Comoro group, between Madagascar and the east coast of Africa in the late 1690's, the fate of Republic of Libertatia treasury remains a mystery. Following the destruction of the colony by Island natives and the foundering of Mission and his crew while escaping the pillage, no further report of the colonists or any subsequent evidence of the considerable booty they amassed has been recorded

The Barbados Coffin Enigma:
The Chase Vault is a 16th century cut stone structure carved into a coral ledge some seven miles from Bridgetown Barbados. For some 96 years between 1724 and 1820 it was the scene of one of the most enimatic recorded mysteries of the 16th Century. Known popularly as the Dancing Coffin mystery or the Chase Horror - the mystery of the moving caskets remains unexplained to this day.

All Tunes - No Ads - No Weather - No Formats - No Phone In - No Cookies - All the Time
Welcome to the Mark 2 - if everything is again operating correctly - punching any of the red 'RFD' buttons around the site will quickly tap you into a 8 hour live random rotation of my personal collection of tunes on whatever browser got you here. If you don't like the choice the server has made for you - please click the button again and it will try to build you a new rotation - or use the flash perl search engine to your left to cut into the e-stream from the song of your choice. The stream is not downloadable - but you are welcome to listen in anytime.

This e-transmitter™ will consume no more than 21kbs of your connection bandwidth while listening and should provide AM stereo audio to any dialup connection or better - without placing stray files on your drive - or resorting to .MP3 / .ASF dataforms. Yes - Radio Free Dexterdyne works perfectly on dial-up.

If you have clicked an RFD button and aren't hearing music - or are being asked to update your player - or stinky old winamp has kicked up - you do not have a free G2 RealAudio plug-in. We strongly recommend you to try the new Real Alternative Player It's included 'Media Player Classic' is completely ad/spy free and frankly one of the best system players we have come across.

Sasser Worm Work Around
This prototype successfully weathered a coordinated Sasser attack without compromise. Here are basic instructions for locking down TCP UDP ports 445 on your machine - which goes a very long way to helping deflect the worm at this time. You are encouraged to attempt this workaround in your own environment even if you are not operating a Dexterdyne thin server model.

New Year's Greetings from Nova Scotia Power:
Most reporting Test Hamsters are now aware that www.dexterdyne.org was down between Jan 1st and Jan 4th. Not bad considering it's the first extended flatline in the four years, but I digress.

Currently everything is operational and again onine.

The flying squad at K-PC Lteé on Agricola, the local pro-shop here in Halifax Nova Scotia where people who earn a living with their gear do their business, were able to rescue the drive data and issue a new 915 Intel System from stock by 10pm New Year's Eve.

Try getting that kind of service at Staples or Future Shop next time you really need your hardware to work. Special thanks go out to John, Al and Ken-Porter for the late shift on the hardware bench.

Apparently, yet another rapid round of spikes and fades in area voltage finally burned out our battery back up inverter.Which subsequently took some important internals on the way-hey-hey over-clocked, TYAN 1854 P3 unit - which had been the heart of Radio Free Dexterdyne these many years. It's not unlike losing an old pal when I stop to think about it.

Anyway - big thanks again to the Radio Free Dexter Irregulars who immediately let us know it was flat lined. I feel sure the good folks at Nova Scotia Power would pass along their apologies as well - you know - if they cared a tinkers damn about quality electricity anymore.

Happy New Years' kids.
